Hi Ladies! We have a sanity saver question from Krissy Noteboom:

"In the last couple of days Jenna has started in with saying, "Mine!" whenever somebody touches something of hers (or something she perceives to be hers). It is really bad in the nursery, but she does it at home too. She has also started getting really jealous of the kids in the nursery when I'm working there, but she doesn't ever seem jealous of Cole at home. Her new little attitude is really starting to get to me, but I'm really not sure how to deal with it."

Just a reminder - you can leave your advice in the comments section or e-mail Lisa at

Happy Thanksgiving!!!

Our annual Christmas Treat Exchange is happening during our scheduled meeting on December 9th. Here's the info :

1. Bring 1 plate of goodies with the recipe attached & wrapped to give away.
2. Bring 1 plate with the recipe not attached to share with the group.

You do not have to bring a baked good - have fun & be creative!
Don't forget to put your name on the recipe cards so that we can give copies of all the recipes in January. If you have participated before, please bring a new recipe to share.

Sanity Saver and an update on Mauryn

Hello again ladies. I received an e-mail from Kristen with an update that Mauryn did get tubes in her ears last Friday and is doing well. The doctor said there was a lot of fluid and puss in there so Mauryn was experiencing a lot of pressure in her ears. She was back to her old self that evening and playing. We will continue to pray that Mauryn puts weight on and look forward to more updates.

And now for a Sanity Saver from Kristen. She put it like this:

My son Landon (age 4 1/2) drags his feet when we need to get out of the house - for any reason even something he is looking forward to. I have tried a timer and it just doesn't seem to help. I have taken him in his pj's if he isn't ready, without shoes on, etc... It just doesn't seem to bother him. I think I give him plenty of time to get ready and out the door. Any suggestions on how to spur him along??

Mauryn Cheney

Sorry Kristen that it took me so long to get this on the blog.

Ladies, Kristen e-mailed me an update on her daughter Mauryn. They visited the ENT last week and Mauryn was scheduled to get tubes in her ears on the 15th I think. I have not heard an update on how it went. Kristen please keep us posted.
For those who were not there on Tues. Kristen shared with us some health concerns with her 2 year old daughter Mauryn. At her last Dr. visit Mauryn weighed only 20 pounds and this concerned the Dr. greatly. The Dr. gave Kristen 3 months (I think) to bring her weight up and encouraged them to see an ENT because Mauryn has fluid constantly in her ears. The Dr. thought this might be causing her pain when she chews and therefore might be the reason Mauryn is not gaining weight. We will pray that the tubes will be the answer we are looking for and Mauryn will begin to pack on the pounds quickly.
I just want to say as well how blessed I feel to have such an amazing group of women to partner with on the journey of motherhood. I was cleaning up another one of Addy's accidents today (it was a good one) and I was so frustrated but then thought to myself, "Wait til the ladies hear about this one!" And I instantly felt a little better. Even though I knew the chances that any one of you were scraping poop (thought about a more appropriate term to use but we moms just say poop don't we?) off the bathroom floor were slim to none, I knew that we all have had moments where we have thought, "Am I really doing this right now?" And it just felt good to know I am not alone.
So, let's continue to pray for each other, meet together and lift one another up.

The Ritchey Family

Diane Ritchey sent me these pics of her family.  Her daughter's name is Courtney and she is a third grader at Nampa Christian.  Taylor is her 4 year old barrel of fun.  This kid does NOT stop.  If you want to see him in action check out Taylor in concert on her husband, Doran's blog (  Sorry, I don't have access to make that a link. I'll see if I can get Lisa to do it:) Diane's husband has been singing at traveling  with the southern gospel quartet, Liberty, for over four years as their baritone and phenomenal piano player!

Thanks Kristen!!
Here are a few pictures of Kristen's adorable kids. Morgan is a BSU fan, Mauryn is the cutest little chicken you ever did see, and Landon makes a friendly little pirate for sure.

Hey Ladies!!

I posted a smilebox below of my little munchkins on Halloween. I would love to see how adorable your kids looked. Or if you don't dress up for Halloween maybe you want to share a tradition that you do practice. Or, if you just want to show off your kids, we would love it. Send your pics to Lisa or myself! See ya in a week.
